Originally founded as the Columbia hat company in 1938, Columbias innovation and progression was down to Gert Boyle, a woman who always believed that perfection could be improved. Columbia Hat Company became Columbia Sportswear Company in 1960. Since this change they have become pioneers in outdoor and sportswear gear. Holding several patents for their innovative tech and designs, Columbia is held in very high regards in all fields, from skiing to streetwear.
